Licensed Master Social Worker - Remote Detox Center Support

Healing Arts Social Work Services is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Social Worker to join our team as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). In this full-time remote role, you will provide essential psychosocial support to individuals in a detox center setting, ensuring they receive compassionate care to navigate their recovery journey. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work model, allowing you to conduct consultations, assessments, and counseling sessions from your location while remaining intricately connected with our detox center’s multidisciplinary team. Although primarily remote, you may have occasional opportunities to visit the detox facility in Jersey City for team meetings and client evaluations. Our working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the occasional need for evening or weekend engagements based on client availability and specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs, gathering information on emotional, mental, and social factors that affect their recovery.
• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, targeting individual goals while advocating for their rights and access to essential community resources.
• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support to individuals navigating the complexities of detoxification, ensuring they feel heard and understood.
• Facilitate interprofessional collaboration by working alongside nurses, counselors, and healthcare providers to create a seamless continuum of care.
• Regularly monitor client progress through virtual check-ins, addressing any barriers to their recovery and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Educate clients and their families regarding available resources, support groups, and strategies to aid in their recovery journey.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all assessments, care interventions, and communications within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Stay informed on the latest best practices and policies in social work and substance use treatment to ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals undergoing detoxification, who may be experiencing a range of challenges related to substance use. This client population often encompasses diverse backgrounds, each with unique psychosocial needs. Your role will not only involve direct support to these clients but also engagement with their families, ensuring they are also supported throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• Minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, ideally in a substance use treatment or mental health setting.
• Strong knowledge of social work theories and practices, particularly concerning substance use disorders and recovery processes.
• Exceptional assessment and counseling skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities, enabling you to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically within detox or rehabilitation centers.
• Familiarity with community resources available to support clients’ recovery.
• Prior experience in providing telehealth services or remote counseling.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
