Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Remote School-Based Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Family Guidance Counseling Solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' mental health needs through interviews, observations, and standardized assessments to identify concerns and determine appropriate support strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized intervention plans that address both individual and educational goals, incorporating evidence-based practices and creative methodologies tailored to the school environment.
• Provide ongoing counseling and support to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or academic challenges, employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school administrators, and parents to facilitate a holistic approach to student well-being, including attending team meetings and participating in multidisciplinary discussions.
• Create and lead workshops and group sessions that focus on skill-building, coping strategies, and emotional regulation for students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment notes, and progress reports in adherence to relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in mental health care, integrating new methodologies into practice to continuously enhance service effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily serve a diverse population of school-aged children and adolescents, many of whom may be facing behavioral disorders, anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues. You will provide a safe space for students to express their feelings and equip them with the tools needed to navigate their challenges. Your work will be pivotal in promoting both emotional growth and academic success.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of New Jersey, demonstrating your professional standing and commitment to the field.
• Proven experience in client assessments and the development of comprehensive care strategies, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for maintaining thorough documentation and meeting regulatory compliance.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of direct experience in providing mental health services to children and adolescents, particularly within a school context.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
