Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled remote setting that fosters both individual focus and team collaboration. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will interact daily with other healthcare professionals and support staff. Our remote work structure allows you to perform your duties in a comfortable home office while maintaining consistent communication with colleagues and supervisors to deliver high-quality mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). This will involve evaluating the individual's mental health status and developing individualized care plans that consider cultural diversity and specific patient needs.
• Provide ongoing support and therapeutic interventions aimed at fostering emotional resilience and coping strategies for those affected by cancer. You will be responsible for continually evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records, clinical documentation, and reports while adhering to regulatory standards and department protocols. You will employ current technology to facilitate efficient documentation and care management.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to create tailored treatment plans that align with their specific goals and concerns. Your role will be pivotal in helping navigate the complexities of cancer-related mental health challenges.
• Coordinate referrals and serve as a vital link between patients and additional treatment providers to ensure comprehensive care. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with other clinicians and agencies will be key to this collaborative approach.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, interns, and volunteers, sharing your expertise in clinical practice and mental health support.
• Participate in peer review and clinical collaboration initiatives to enhance team member development, in collaboration with your clinical supervisor.

This role primarily focuses on supporting students and families impacted by a cancer diagnosis, recognizing the profound emotional and psychological challenges they face. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in mental health settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with patients coping with chronic illness, especially cancer, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
