Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Remote Position

Position Overview

The Central Valley Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will provide vital support to individuals and families facing a variety of personal challenges, including but not limited to neglect, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues. As an LCSW, your expertise will be essential in guiding our clients toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality mental health services. As part of our Community Health Clinic, you will be supported by a vibrant team of professionals dedicated to fostering a safe and collaborative virtual workspace. Modern communication tools such as telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems will facilitate your consultations with clients, regardless of their geographical location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients through telephonic and in-person engagements to gather relevant background information and evaluate mental health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services, utilizing de-escalation techniques to support clients during periods of acute distress.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual assessments, ensuring alignment with best practices and client goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our electronic health record system, preparing necessary documentation and reports as required for compliance and continuity of care.
• Actively engage clients and their families in beneficial activities and referrals to additional resources and agencies, fostering a comprehensive support system.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with treatment methodologies and enhance your skills.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans accordingly.
• Identify and report any signs of child abuse, adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges. Your empathetic approach will be critical in building trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds, particularly those affected by trauma, substance use, and family dynamics. The comprehensive nature of your responsibilities ensures that all client interactions are handled with sensitivity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.
• Successful candidates must hold a current and valid LCSW license in the state of Colorado.
• Strong foundation in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities specific to the populations you will serve.
• Demonstrated competency in crisis management, utilizing effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload efficiently.
• Awareness and sensitivity to age-related and cultural factors that affect client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, as it will enable you to better serve our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits
