Work Environment

This remote position offers flexibility while allowing you to serve local school environments where students can benefit from your clinical expertise. You will work collaboratively with educational staff and families to build a supportive network around each student. Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients through in-person visits, virtual consultations, and community outreach, providing a holistic approach to mental health.
• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings based on evidence-based practices to determine client needs, establishing appropriate care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other providers.
• Provide therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to specific presenting problems and clients' requests.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, monitoring clients' progress and modifying care plans as necessary to ensure the effectiveness of treatment.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case discussions to enhance service delivery, striving to meet the organization’s collective goals.
• Document all interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and efficiently, adhering to compliance regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Be available for on-call crisis intervention when required, providing support to stabilize clients during urgent situations.
• Promote preventive services by educating clients and families on coping strategies and resources available.
• Work collaboratively with school faculty to integrate mental health initiatives within the educational framework, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on working with children and adolescents within school settings who exhibit symptoms of major mental illness and emotional distress. You will be tasked with understanding their unique cultural, social, and familial contexts, ensuring care is tailored to meet diverse needs while fostering inclusion and respect.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Current Licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• Expert knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment protocols for mental health disorders, along with proficiency in crisis management strategies.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively reach clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to engage and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their individual experiences and cultural differences.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is preferred, candidates demonstrating strong clinical skills, a passion for mental health advocacy, and a commitment to community service will be given serious consideration. Experience in educational settings and familiarity with age-related developmental needs will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
