This position operates remotely, allowing flexibility in your working hours while supporting students in various schools across Wailuku, HI. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that values professional development and innovative practices in mental health care. Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective coping mechanisms.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, focusing on solution-based practices to help students navigate their challenges.
Document and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with state regulations, ensuring timely updates on patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to create a supportive network for students.
Provide educational workshops and resources to empower students and their families with strategies for managing mental health issues.
Stay informed about the latest mental health research, trends, and treatments to continuously improve your practice.
Your work will focus primarily on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a range of psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and family dynamics. By providing tailored support, you will not only help students overcome immediate barriers but also equip them with valuable life skills for long-term resilience.
A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
A valid LCSW license in the state of Hawaii.
Strong foundation in solution-based psychotherapy interventions and knowledge of mental health issues affecting school-aged populations.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills necessary for fostering trust and rapport with students and their families.
Experience working in educational settings or with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and digital therapy platforms is advantageous.
Previous involvement in mental health research or community outreach programs is a plus.
Annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 104,000, based on experience.
