Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for patients referred by the Hospice Center, accurately identifying their mental health needs and developing individual treatment plans tailored to their specific situations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused therapy, to provide interventions that effectively address the emotional and psychological well-being of patients.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation to comply with state regulations and organizational policies, ensuring quality treatment and aiding in case management processes.
• Engage in collaborative care by actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies for comprehensive patient care.
• Facilitate group therapy and educational sessions, helping patients and their families understand mental health issues related to hospice care and empowering them with coping strategies.
• Regularly review and update treatment approaches based on the latest research and clinical practices, contributing to improved patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist within our Hospice Center, you will work with a diverse population of patients facing varying degrees of mental health challenges related to terminal and chronic illnesses. Your role encompasses providing compassionate support to individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, and existential distress due to their conditions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience specializing in psychotherapy.
• Strong understanding of solution-based therapeutic approaches.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
