Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of students’ mental health needs, using diagnostic tools to create comprehensive evaluations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice guidelines.
• Utilize solution-focused and trauma-informed interventions to support each student’s well-being, addressing academic, emotional, and social needs.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Engage in treatment team meetings to collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents in a school setting, addressing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and possess differing needs, from those experiencing situational anxiety to students recovering from trauma. Your role will be crucial in helping them navigate these challenges to achieve emotional resilience and success in their academic environments.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• A valid LCSW license issued in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably within a school or outpatient setting.
• Proven expertise in solution-based psychotherapy interventions with a strong focus on the socio-emotional development of children and adolescents.
