Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) - Remote Position in Educational Services

Work Environment

As a fully remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from home while still being integrated into our team. You will collaborate with colleagues using various digital tools to maintain efficient communication and workflow. This position primarily focuses on school settings, where your impact will resonate through direct interactions with children and families, as well as collaborations with other educators and health care professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children to determine their developmental needs.
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), setting collaborative goals to support children’s growth.
• Monitor and document outcomes as part of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that selected strategies are effective.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to families to help improve their child's developmental skills.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to mental health services and child welfare.
• Build trusting relationships with children and families to foster a nurturing learning environment.
• Develop strategies for individualized treatment plans by employing evidence-based practices in line with the Natural Learning Environment Principles.
• Implement IFSP services based on continuous assessment of children’s developmental status and family priorities.
• Utilize a coaching model alongside natural environment teaching techniques to enhance learning.
• Maintain monitoring and adherence to safety and health standards in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on supporting babies and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays, who are undergoing early intervention. The populations you will serve include a diverse array of families, each requiring a tailored approach to meet their unique needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Doctorate in Social Work.
• Must hold a current LISW license, authorized by the Department of Public Health.
• A valid driver's license is required for any necessary travel to support families in various locations.
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and approaches to cater to the specific needs of each child.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure effective prioritization of responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate productive collaboration with families and team members.
• Respectful demeanor and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working with children in early intervention settings is strongly preferred.
• Proven commitment to utilizing Natural Learning Environment Practices in your work.

Compensation and Benefits
