Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' social, emotional, and environmental needs, considering factors like housing, relationships, and mental health.
• Develop individualized service plans in partnership with clients, setting clear goals and outlining interventions to track progress effectively.
• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions and family counseling, addressing a wide range of personal challenges—this could include helping a single parent manage stress, guiding a family through a crisis, or supporting individuals navigating recovery from addiction.
• Facilitate crisis intervention by assessing risk and implementing safety plans for clients in immediate danger or severe distress.
• Collaborate with community agencies and local organizations to ensure a coordinated approach to client care, effectively advocating for clients' access to available services.
• Engage in outreach initiatives designed to raise awareness of our services, fostering greater community involvement and resource connectivity.
• Regularly participate in inter-disciplinary case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions to enhance service delivery and teamwork.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on supporting diverse and often vulnerable populations in Sun Valley. This includes individuals and families affected by systemic issues such as poverty or domestic violence. You will play a critical role in helping clients navigate challenges, access vital resources, and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• An active state license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is essential for this position.
• Proficiency in trauma-informed care practices and an understanding of social and economic justice issues.
• Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and an ability to effectively solve problems are essential in ensuring positive client outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a social service agency, counseling center, or similar organization is preferred.
• Familiarity with local community resources and social services will be considered an advantage in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, plus performance bonuses. Additional benefits include:
