Work Environment

The Social Worker position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while efficiently supporting students and families. You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and other healthcare professionals within the school environment, facilitating a holistic approach to student care. Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting in-depth assessments of students' psychosocial needs, taking into account emotional, mental, and social factors that impact their well-being.
• Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with students, families, and educational staff aimed at meeting individual goals and fostering growth.
• Providing one-on-one counseling sessions to students facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, behavioral issues, and adjustment difficulties.
• Facilitating group sessions and workshops to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving among students.
• Building relationships with families and advocating for their needs within the educational system to ensure access to support services and community resources.
• Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and care plans in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Participating in school meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions to strategize on student support initiatives and monitor ongoing cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing socio-economic challenges, mental health issues, or family disruptions. By leveraging your expertise as a social worker, you will help students navigate their challenges, fostering an environment where they can excel academically and socially.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, with a preference for experience in educational or community settings.
• A strong grasp of psychosocial principles and a deep understanding of the resources available to families and students.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with students, families, and educational staff.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and knowledge of relevant software for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and adolescents, familiarity with school systems, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams. Experience providing crisis intervention and managing complex cases will be highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
