Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Serene Paths Psychotherapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to identify students' mental health needs and challenges.
• Developing tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Providing compassionate, evidence-driven psychotherapy to individuals dealing with a wide range of mental health concerns.
• Documenting clinical progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists and educational staff, to create a supportive network for students.
• Participating in ongoing case consultations and peer review meetings to improve treatment strategies and overall care.
• Educating clients and their families on mental health issues, various treatment options, and available community resources to promote overall wellness.
• Staying current with the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment to enhance your therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families within the school setting. Your focus will be directed towards promoting emotional resilience and coping skills among students who face challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your insights will help guide these young individuals toward achieving their academic and personal goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• At least two years of clinical experience, preferably in a school setting or working with a pediatric population.
• In-depth knowledge of solution-based intervention strategies and the ability to tailor these techniques according to individual client needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to develop effective treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an educational environment, familiarity with school systems, and a background in trauma-informed care will be considered advantageous. Additional certifications in therapeutic modalities are also welcomed.

Compensation and Benefits
