Job Description

Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist – Outpatient Clinic (Kansas City, Missouri)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient clinic. In this full-time role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. Through personalized therapy plans, you will help individuals enhance their communication abilities, regain confidence, and improve daily functioning.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + benefits 

Patient Volume: 7 patients a day or 35 patient visits a week

Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough speech, language, and swallowing assessments to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to communication, fluency, and voice goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve articulation, language comprehension, and vocal clarity.
  • Deliver swallowing and feeding therapy for patients with dysphagia.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on communication techniques and home exercises.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active SLP license in Missouri.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in speech, language, voice, and swallowing therapy techniques.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and patient advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
