Job Title: Process Technician
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Director of Operations
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
- The process molding technician is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and workflow.
- Working with production personnel and R&D to ensure molded components meet requirements, making adjustments as required.
- Providing molded components in a timely manner to ensure production and R&D schedules are met.
- Working with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that result in the manufacturing of high-quality products.
- Managing raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination.
- Generating documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
- Working with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products.
- Following established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment. - Drafting and performing mold validations.
- Complete disposition of materials produced and enter data into financial system (IQMS).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for oversight of Machine Operators and Assemblers, including general coaching and performance management.
- Coordinate with Human Resources for any disciplinary actions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in injection molding required.
- Decoupling molding method experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience.
- Good organizational skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
