Pay Rate: $700 to $1400/week

Contract: 13 weeks

Schedule: Day Shift

Experience: Minimum 2 years required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Certified Scrub Technologist for a 13-week quick-start contract opportunity in Machias, Maine. This role supports scheduled and emergency surgical cases by preparing sterile instruments, maintaining the sterile field, supporting the surgical team, and ensuring safe operating room workflow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile surgical field for procedures

• Gather, set up, and handle surgical instruments and supplies based on surgeon preference cards

• Assist the surgical team during scheduled and emergency cases

• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced OR setting

• Document and support surgical workflow using Cerner as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required

• Current ORT Certification Required

• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room or Scrub Tech experience required

• BLS/BCLS Certification Required

• Must have strong sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, communication, and OR support skills
