Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their suitability for bariatric surgery, taking into account their medical history, lifestyle, and weight loss objectives.
• Perform a range of bariatric procedures, emphasizing safety and precision, while continuously monitoring patient outcomes and adapting approaches as necessary.
• Develop individualized treatment plans encompassing pre-operative counseling, surgical interventions, and meticulous post-operative care strategies.
• Maintain electronic medical records with accurate documentation of surgical procedures, patient interactions, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in ongoing training and development, staying informed of the latest advancements and best practices in the field of bariatric surgery.
• Engage patients in meaningful discussions about their surgical options, the benefits and potential risks involved, fostering an environment of informed consent.
• Work in a supportive environment, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and address any concerns patients may have.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution.

• Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Surgery.
• A valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits
