Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of trauma patients, ensuring quick identification of life-threatening conditions and formulating immediate interventions.
• Perform a variety of surgical techniques, including emergency laparotomies, thoracotomies, and orthopedic repairs, with an emphasis on minimizing recovery time and maximizing surgical outcomes.
• Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals during trauma rounds and case conferences, ensuring continuity and coordination of patient care.
• Engage in mentorship roles, providing guidance and training to surgical residents and medical students, fostering the growth of the next generation of trauma surgeons.
• Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing trauma care protocols and patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on a diverse patient population with an array of traumatic injuries, from road traffic accidents to falls and penetrating injuries. In our Level I trauma center, your skills will be crucial in managing high-acuity cases, allowing you to make significant contributions to patients’ recovery and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery.
• Active and unrestricted board certification in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery or extensive experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trauma surgical techniques, including complex life-saving interventions.
• Exceptional clinical judgment with the capacity to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and patients.
• A commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with advancements in trauma surgery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a high-volume trauma center with exposure to a wide variety of emergency cases.
• Previous involvement in clinical research or quality improvement projects within a surgical environment.
• Active participation in professional organizations related to trauma care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 400,000 – 500,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
