Work Environment

You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility, collaborating with a team of experienced surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. The atmosphere is collaborative and supportive, designed to enhance both patient care and provider growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of pediatric patients to accurately diagnose musculoskeletal diseases and injuries.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, which may include recommending surgical procedures when necessary.
• Perform various orthopedic surgeries, ensuring that techniques align with the latest evidence-based practice standards.
• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions and support that address the specific health challenges faced by children and young adults.
• Engage in direct patient care, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups, ensuring continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, treatment options, and recovery processes, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
• Participate in crisis intervention and mental health support for patients experiencing emergencies related to their orthopedic conditions.

The orthopedic team at Atlantic Health Center primarily focuses on managing conditions in children and adolescents. This role involves working closely with young patients and their families, addressing a wide range of orthopedic issues from congenital disorders to sports injuries. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, along with a completed residency in orthopedic surgery.
• Strong knowledge base regarding child and adolescent musculoskeletal health issues.
• Proficient in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, with a commitment to using evidence-based best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in conveying complex medical information to children and families.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working as part of an interprofessional team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in orthopedic surgery, preferably with a focus on pediatric cases.
• Experience in performing a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to knee arthroscopy and corrective surgeries for limb deformities.
• Experience with a diverse patient demographic, demonstrating cultural competence in care provision.

Compensation and Benefits
