Work Environment

The position is based onsite in our hospital setting in Jersey City, where you will primarily interact with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support diagnoses, surgeries, and rehabilitation efforts. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' orthopedic conditions, utilizing imaging and diagnostic tests to inform treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include surgical interventions, physical therapy recommendations, and pain management strategies.
• Perform a variety of orthopedic surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures, joint reconstructions, and other relevant surgical techniques.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients understand their treatment options and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, surgical technologists, and rehabilitation professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure cohesive care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address emergency situations and provide timely care for patients requiring urgent orthopedic attention.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits aimed at enhancing patient care protocols across the orthopedic department.

You will be caring for a diverse patient population that includes children, adolescents, and adults suffering from a range of orthopedic conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical, with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages.
• Ability to engage with patients and their families to build trusting relationships that support treatment adherence.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in orthopedic practices.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework to improve patient care outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in orthopedic surgery, with a focus on pediatric orthopedics being highly desirable.
• Expertise in advanced surgical techniques and familiarity with the latest orthopedic technology are advantages.

Compensation and Benefits
