Job Description
This role reports directly to the Program Director contributing to the objectives of FR Health and its mission. While providing individual, group and family therapy, this Licensed Marriage and Family therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and client-centered care and treatment.
Shift Schedule: Fulltime In-person Tuesday through Saturday 8 hours per day
Responsibilities:
- Carry a caseload of consistent clients
- Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients
- Maintain appropriate documentation as required
- Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required
- Conduct mental status examinations
- Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms
- Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed
- Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff
- Crisis intervention services
- Treatment Planning
- Complete Additional Sessions Requests forms as required
- Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues
- Participates in quarterly staffing meeting
- Assists with Equine assisted therapy as needed
- Participates on the Critical Incident Response team on a continual basis
- Other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Licensed or registration with The California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LMFT, LCSW, AMFT or ACSW
- Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Current TB Negative test

- Excellent management of caseload (including groups, individual sessions, and family contact/sessions)
- Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines in regard to patient confidentiality
- Ability to establish appropriate boundaries with clients and staff
