AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Gallipolis, Ohio, 45631!Pay Information$1,612 per weekAbout The PositionJob Title: Speech and Language Pathologist Profession: Speech and Language Pathologist Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum Years of Experience Required License: Required Certifications: Required Must-Have: Relevant experience in speech-language pathology Description: Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine individuals' levels of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social/pragmatic skills. Develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent complications. Recommend changes in food texture and liquid consistency during meals and snacks.

Make medical referrals as necessary. Collaborate with medical staff regarding medication adjustments for swallowing improvements. Participate in and suggest involvement in swallow studies and follow-up.

Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services for individuals and/or groups. Provide training and support for individuals using hearing aids and assist in basic reading and communication skills. Demonstrate language techniques and use of augmentative communication devices.

Deliver in-service training to other staff on speech-language techniques and protocols. Act as a sign language interpreter as needed. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care.

Attend workshops and seminars to enhance professional skills and knowledge. Counsel and inform guardians and family members regarding speech-language and swallowing issues. Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and documentation necessary for treatment progress tracking.

Operate personal computers using office software and specialized communication software for record creation and management.
