- Assist veterinary staff with basic animal handling, including bathing, grooming, and administering medications as directed.
- Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to veterinarians or supervisors promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, and observations.
- Perform laundry, dishwashing, and general facility upkeep to support clinic operations.
- Interact professionally with pet owners during drop-off and pick-up, answering basic questions about care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in animal care (e.g., kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting) preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong passion for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and calmly.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and hygiene practices is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a environment with exposure to animal dander, noise, and odors.
