Full-time Internist Needed in a Private Practice in Arlington, VA

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional on-call responsibilities shared among the team.

Salary:

$200,000 and $300,000 per year base salary DOE plus bonus and full benefits + paid malpractice

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out thorough patient assessments, which include studies of medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Creating and carrying out patient-specific treatment regimens that use evidence-based medicine and the most recent developments in medicine.
  • Placing orders for and interpreting diagnostic tests, including imaging investigations, laboratory work, and specialty procedures, to support precise diagnosis and treatment choices.
  • Advising and supervising patients' use of drugs, therapies, and other forms of therapy in order to advance their health and welfare.
  • Working together with a diversified group of medical experts, such as nurses, specialists, and support personnel, to guarantee comprehensive and well-coordinated patient care.
  • To improve patient outcomes, offering patient education and counseling on illness prevention, available treatments, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
  • Participating in medical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education to stay abreast of the latest developments in internal medicine.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Valid and unrestricted MD license in the state of practice.
  • Excellent clinical skills and a strong foundation in evidence-based medicine.
  • Proficiency in medical decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with colleagues.
