Vivid Essence Women’s Health is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients. The 364-bed hospital offers emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries and procedures, surgical services, women’s health, comprehensive maternity services, a level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, advanced wound care, and hyperbaric medicine with a limb salvage program.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and competent nursing care to patients, adhering to facility policies, standards, and patient-centered care principles.
- Demonstrate professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Supervise and guide employees under your supervision
- Embrace and uphold Service Excellence standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively.
- Educate patients and their families on their healthcare needs, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Advocate for patient rights, safety, and informed decision-making throughout the healthcare journey.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
- One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada, showcasing your compliance with state regulations and commitment to providing nursing care at the highest standards.
- Current BLS Certification, indicating your proficiency in basic life support techniques.
- Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by the department, displaying your specialized skills in handling specific patient populations.
- Other certifications may be required by the facility, specialty, or department, reflecting your dedication to continuous learning and specialization.
