Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) Position Available

Job Summary: The Licensed Mental Health Counselor is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides support for the patient’s therapeutic treatment plan. Primary responsibilities include observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan. Must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies and able to provide therapeutic support under the direction of nurse. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' strengths, challenges, and treatment goals.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to diagnose and identify mental health disorders and concerns.

Individual and Group Therapy:

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy to clients across the lifespan.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' goals and needs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment interventions as necessary to support clients' growth and well-being.

Collaboration and Coordination of Care:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Coordinate referrals and community resources to support clients' comprehensive treatment plans

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards regarding client confidentiality and record-keeping practices.

Advocacy and Community Engagement:

  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to mental health services within the community.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational programs to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.

Requirements:

  • Education: You must have completed a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
    • Licensing: You must be fully licensed to practice independently without supervision:
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • *Note: No limited/provisional licenses. No disciplinary actions.
    • Ability to make professional evaluations, decisions, and recommendation for treatment planning and implementation
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and sympathetic nature
    • You must be computer literate.
