Full-Time Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care Clinic in New London , CT

We are seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care outpatient office. As a valuable member of our team, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating health conditions while promoting good health practices. Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 5:00 pm shift

Salary:

$180,000-$200,000 per year (based on experience) + Full Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough patient examinations and review medical records
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays
  • Diagnose and treat various acute health conditions and illnesses
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for chronic diseases
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records and schedules
  • Educate patients and their families on diseases, epidemics, and preventive measures
  • Oversee the overall health and well-being of patients
  • Promote and encourage good health practices
  • Engage in continuous professional development and research

Requirements:

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required • Experience as a Nurse practitioner Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) in the State.
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State.
  • Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries to include: pediatric and adult care; I&Ds; suturing, etc.
