Full-time/Part-time Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Wanted at Outpatient Mental Health Office

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours
  • Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts ongoing assessments to meet the needs of patients served.
  • Communicates between supervisors, direct care staff members, family members, guardians, and collateral individuals regarding an individual’s progress.
  • Provides a tentative schedule to supervisors of appointments, home visits, and observations for monitoring work advancement.
  • Coordinates home visits to meet the requirements of in-home observations, chart reviews, staff interviews, and data analysis.
  • Ensures implementation of the program plan is effective and properly carried out.
  • Participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other pertinent meetings as required.
  • Completes monthly and quarterly progress notes.
  • Organize training to certify staff and other team members are competent on the implementation of the program plan and/or documentation sheets.
  • Provides follow-up interviews, home visits, and observations for continued support of an individual’s needs.
  • Maintains records to guarantee information is readily available to interested parties.
  • Acts as liaison with the public and mental health community to provide support with development goals.
  • Assists in creating procedures for training materials to improve programs for individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor in the state
  • Experience in counseling for at least 2 years, preferably in a clinical context, is required.
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, establishing rapport with a variety of clientele.
  • Ability to cooperate with a healthcare team has been demonstrated.
  • Proficiency with EMR software and related technologies.
